This policy explains what data Pre-IPO Review collects, why we collect it, and how it is stored. Pre-IPO Review is a research platform; we collect only what the product needs to work.
1. Data We Collect
- Account data — your email address, used for passwordless magic-link sign-in. We never see or store a password.
- Profile data — your preferred language for the site interface and reviews.
- Content you create — company watchlist entries (bookmarks), reviews you post, review “helpful” votes, and article submissions.
- We do not run advertising trackers or sell personal data.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To sign you in and keep your session active.
- To show the site and reviews in your preferred language.
- To display your watchlist, reviews, and submitted articles.
- To moderate community content and keep the platform safe.
3. Storage and Processors
Your data is processed by the following service providers on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication, database storage for profiles, watchlists, reviews, and article submissions.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
- DeepL and Google Translate — when you request a translation of a review, the review text is sent to one of these services to produce the translation.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser local storage for two things: your language preference and your sign-in session. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
5. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile, watchlist, and pending submissions; published reviews may be removed or anonymized.
